ไอ้หนูจอนนี่เจ้าเก่า

                 ใครที่คิดว่า ตัวเองมีปัญหาในการเรียนภาษาอังกฤษ ที่มีคนบอกว่า ภาษาอังกฤษง่ายมีนิดเดียว  แต่ยากมีแยะอิ๊บอ๋ายเลย....อ่านนี่ดู แล้วจะรู้ว่า ไม่ใช่คุณ คนเดียวที่มีปัญหา

 

 Contagious

           A teacher asks the class if they can think of a sentence with “contagious” in it.
After a long pause, little Johnny puts his hand up and the teacher chooses him.
“I was in the car with my dad and we were driving past one of our neighbours who was painting his garden fence with a toothbrush,” says Johnny.

         “My dad said, ‘It’s going to take that contagious to finish that.

Contagious แปลว่า โรคติดต่อ

              A teacher  ครูคนหนึ่ง

asks  the class ถามเด็กในชั้นเรียน

 if they can think  of  ใครที่สามารถคิดออกถึง

a sentence ประโยค

with “contagious” in it. ที่มี คำว่า คอนตาเจี๊ยสอยู่ในประโยคได้
After a long pause, หลังจากที่เงียบไปครู่ใหญ่

 little Johnny ไอ้หนู จอนนี่

puts his hand up ยกมือขึ้นมา

 and the teacher chooses him. แล้วครูก็เลือกเค้า
“I was in the car ผมนั่งรถไป

 with my dad กับคุณพ่อ

and we were driving past  ในขณะที่เรากำลังแล่นผ่าน

one of our neighbours เพื่อนบ้านคนหนึ่ง

who was painting  ซึ่งกำลังทาสี

 his garden fence รั้วสวนดอกไม้ของเขา

with a toothbrush, ด้วยแปรงสีฟัน

” says Johnny. จอนนี่เล่าต่อว่า

 “My dad said, คุณพ่อบอกว่า

‘It’s going to  งานนี้ น่าจะ

 take that contagious ใช้ โรคติดต่อ

 to finish that. ถึงจะเสร็จได้

( ความจริง คุณพ่อพูดว่า "It is going to take ages to finish that.  แปลว่า งานนี้น่าจะใช้เวลานานมากที่จะเสร็จ   take ages อ่านออกเสียงว่า เอ๊จเจ๊ส เสียงคล้ายกัน แปลว่าใช้เวลานานมาก ไอ้หนูจอนนี่ ฟังไม่ได้ศัพท์จับมากระเดียด ...ล้อเล่นครับ เด็กที่ใหนจะรู้ ก็ต้องค่อยๆพัฒนาไป โลกของภาษาอังกฤษ มันกว้างใหญ่ไพศาล มีอะไรสนุกๆแยะ)
