รู้แล้ว อย่าไปบอกใคร

ศัพท์ภาษาอังกฤษ ยากแก่การจำ ความหมายก็แตกต่างไปตามประโยคที่ใช้ ถ้าใช้ในสถานะการณ์ปกติ หรือวิชาการ เราจะเห็นว่า มีการเขียนแปลจากดิ๊ก ใส่ลงหนังสือเปราะไปหมด แต่ก็จำไม่ได้ซักที เพราะอะไร เพราะมันน่าเบื่อหน่าย แต่ถ้าเป็นเรื่องสนุกๆ คนจะจำได้แม่น เหมือนเรื่องที่จะเล่าต่อไปนี้

 

 

 

Confidential 

 

A little boy approach his father one day and asks,

 

“Dad, what’s the different between confident and confidential?”
His dad thinks for a second and says,

 

“You’re son. I’m confident of that.

 

 Then he lowered his voice to a whisper and said, “And little mate Billy’s also my son but that’s confidential.

A little boy ไอ้หนูคนนึง

 

approach his father เข้าไปหาพ่อ

 

one day ในวันหนึ่ง

 

and asks, แล้วก็ถาม

 

“Dad, พ่อครับ

 

what’s the different between อะไรคือ ความแตกต่าง ระหว่าง

 

 confident and confidential?” คอนฟิเด๊นท์ กับคอนฟิเดนเชี๊ยล
His dad คุณพ่อไอ้หนู

 

thinks for a second and says, คิดอยู่ครู่หนึ่ง

 

“You are my son. หนูเป็นลูกของพ่อ

 

I’m confident of that. พ่อมั่นใจมาก เรื่องนั้น

 

 Then he lowered his voice จากนั้นก็หดเสียงลง

 

to a whisper จนเป็นเสียงกระซิบ

 

and said, แล้วก็บอกว่า

 

“And little mate Billy of yours ไอ้หนูน้อย บิลลี่ ที่เป็นเพื่อนของลูก

 

 also my son  ก็เป็นลูกของพ่อเหมือนกัน

 

 but   แต่ว่า

 

 that’s confidential. นั่นคือ ความลับ  รู้แล้ว อย่าไปบอกใคร
