An Antiques dealer was walking through a country town when he noticed an old, mangy-looking cat sitting on a stoop, drinking milk out of a saucer.
The distinctive pattern on the saucer caught his eye and, on taking a closer look, he realised it was a valuable antique, potentially worth a fortune!
Trying to remain calm, the antiques dealer approached the old man who was sitting on the porch.
“Excuse me, sir. I’m a cat lover myself, and I couldn’t help but notice your cat there is the spitting image of my beloved Ginger, who passed away last year. I never quite got over his death...I was wondering if you’d be willing to sell your cat to me and help me fill this void in my heart?” 

The cat’s owner peered up at the
antiques dealer: “Well that cat means a lot to me but, if it ii make you happy, I’ll take $50 for him.”
Handing over the money, the antiques dealer added casually, “You know, I don’t have anything to feed him out of. Mind throwing in that saucer, too?”

“Hell, no!” hooted the old man. “That’s
my lucky saucer! Since I found it last year,
I’ve sold more than 200 cats!”

สิ่งที่น่าคิด... สมัยโบราณคนจีนมาเมืองไทย หัดพูดภาษาไทย ถ้าดันมีคนไปบอกว่า โอ๊ย มึงพูดไม่ชัดเลย หรือถ้ามีคนบอกว่า มึงพูดผิดไวยากือ ไม่รู้ว่า คําเป็นคืออะไรคําตายคืออะไร คําสมาสคืออะไร สนธิคืออะไร ผมว่าพวกอาแป๊ะ ที่คิดจะมาขายถั่วเขียวต้มนํ้าตาล หรือกาลอจี้ สมัยก่อน ต้องถอนสมอกลับเมืองจีนไปแล้ว อย่าไปสนใจมันมาก มาหัดเรียนแบบของเราแล้วรู้เรื่องมีกําลังใจที่จะอยากเรียนกันดีกว่า 

In the kitty  In ในที่นี้แปลว่าชอบ.. kitty คิ๊ตตี้ แปลว่าลูกแมว pussy ก็แปลว่าลูกแมว เมื่อเป็นแสลงก็จะแปลว่า จิ๋ม เลยทําให้ฝรั่งไม่กล้าใช้คํานี้แล้ว เลยใช้แต่คําว่าคิตตี้ๆ มาตลอด ในประโยคนี้ ก็แปลว่า คนรักแมวนั่นเอง
