The Myth: The Great wall of China can be seen from space.

The Truth:  Mountain ranges are thousands of metres high and hundreds of klicks wide, and are just visible from an orbiting satellite; China’s famous wall is barely higher than a garden fence in most parts and therefore can’t be seen.

Why? Because the width of the Great Wall from the Moon would be the same as a pubic hair viewed from 3.2km away.

 can be seen สามารถมองเห็นได้

from space. จากอวกาศ

The Truth:  เรื่องจริงก็คือ 

Mountain ranges ภูเขาที่ทอดยาวไปบนพื้นโลก

are thousands of metres high ส่วนใหญ่จะสูงเกินกว่าพันเมตร

and hundreds of klicks wide, และก็กว้างหลายร้อยกิโล (klicks  คลิ๊ก เป็นแสลงย่อมาจาก 1 kilometer หรือหนึ่งกิโล)

and are just visible  ยังแค่เห็นริบหรี่ๆ (just visible แปลว่า เกือบจะมองไม่เห็น ) 

from  จาก

 an orbiting satellite; ดาวเทียมที่โคจรรอบโลก

China’s famous wall กําแพงเมืองจีน

 is barely เกือบๆจะ

higher than  สูงกว่า 

 a garden fence รั้วสวนดอกไม้

in most parts แทบทั้งนั้น 

and therefore และด้วยเหตุนี้ 

can’t be seen. เราจะมองไม่เห็นหรอก

Why?  ไหงอย่างงั้นละ

Because เพราะว่า

the width ความกว้าง ( width  หวิด )

of the Great Wall ของกําแพงเมืองจีน

from the Moon จากดวงจันทร์ ( ที่มองจากดวงจันทร์) 

would be จะเป็น

the same as ขนาดเท่ากับ

a pubic hair  ขนเพขร 

viewed from ที่เรามองจาก

 3.2km away. ระยะห่างสามกิโลกับอีกสองร้อยเมตร

(การยกตัวอย่างขนเพชร ทําให้ผู้อ่านสร้างภาพได้ง่ายขึ้น เพราะถ้าบอกว่าเส้นผม จะใหญ่มากกว่าขนเพชรและไม่หงิกงอเหมือนกําแพงเมืองจีน นับว่าคนเขียนรื่องนี้อัจฉริยะมาก )
