Heavenly throne

A DRUNK staggered into a Catholic church during confession time. He entered the booth, sat down and said nothing.
                 Smelling alcohol fumes but hearing nothing from the man on the other
side of the screen, the priest tried
to attract the fellow’s attention.
               “Ahem, ahem,” he cleared his throat.
Still the man remained silent.
Eventually, the priest grew tired
of waiting and knocked loudly on
the panel between them.
                 It was then that the drunk spoke up. “No use knocking, mate. There’s no loo paper in this one, either!

บัลลังก์สวรรค์ (  throne โทรน แปลว่าบัลลังก์ heavenly  แปลว่าเหมือนสวรรค์)

A drunk ขี้เมาคนหนึ่ง

staggered into เดินตุปัดตุเป๋เข้าไปใน

 (staggered หรือ staggering สแต๊กเกอร์เร็ด หรือ สแต๊กเกอร์ริ่ง  แปลว่า เดินแบบทุลักทุเล ประเภทเดินหน้าสองก้าว ถอยหลังสามก้าวปานนั้น )

 a Catholic church โบสถ์แคโธลิก

during confession time. จังหวะ หรืออีตอน ที่เค้ากำลังมีการสารภาพบาป

 He entered the booth, แกก็เข้าไปในช่องสารภาพบาป ( booth เหมือนกับบู๊ธเลือกตั้ง)

 sat down  นั่งลง

 and said nothing. แล้วก็ไม่พูดไม่จาอะไร
                 Smelling ได้กลิ่น

alcohol เหล้า

fumes ฟุ้งกระจาย

but hearing nothing แต่ก็ไม่มีได้ยินเสียงอะไร

from the man จากคน

on the other side ที่อยู่อีกฝั่งหนึ่ง
of the screen, ที่มีตาข่ายกั้นไว้

the priest หลวงพ่อ

tried to attract พยายามเชิญชวน

the fellow’s attention. ให้เขาสนใจ ( ว่ารออยู่นะ)
               “Ahem, ahem,” ฮะแอ้ม..ฮะแอ้ม

he cleared his throat. หลวงพ่อ เคลียร์เสลดในลำคอ
Still the man แต่ขีเมาคนนั้นก็ยังคง

remained silent...เงียบเหมือนเดิม
Eventually, จนในที่สุด

 the priest หลวงพ่อ

grew tired เบื่อมากแล้ว
of waiting ที่จะรอ

and knocked แล้วก็เคาะ

loudly อย่างดังๆ

on the panel ไปที่ข้างฝา

between them. ที่กั้นสองฝั่งนั้น
                 It was then นั่นแหละ

 that the drunk ที่ไอ้ขี้เมา

spoke up. ถึงได้พูดขึ้น

“No use knocking, เคาะไปก็ไม่มีประโยชน์ ( No use  โนยู๊ส แปลว่าไม่มีประโยชน์ )

 mate. เพื่อนเอ๊ย

There’s no loo paper นี่ก็ไม่มีกระดาษเช็ดตูด

in this one, ในห้องนี้

either! เหมือนกัน (either = same ๆ)
