โจ๊กเรื่องต่อไปนี้ ผมวางไว้ตอนอี๊สเตอร์ แต่ก็บังเอิญติดงาน ตอนนี้ก็สายไปนิดหน่อย แต่ว่า  คนที่จะอ่านต้องรู้เรื่องนี้ก่อน

What does a rabbit have to do with Easter?

Answer: There are several variations of the story of the origins of the Easter Rabbit or the Easter Bunny, or perhaps more correctly, the Easter Hare. The hare was  associated with the Pagan festival celebrating the goddess Eostre (also known as Eastre or Ostara), from which the word Easter is derived. Eostre's earthly symbol was the hare or rabbit. The hare is also symbolically associated with the moon.

Easter คือวันที่พระเยซู ฟื้นขึ้นมาจากความตาย จากการที่โดนทหารโรมันจับตรึงไม้กางเขนจนตาย แล้วก็ให้ญาติเอาไปฝังในถ้า ปรากฏว่าสามวันก็หาศพไม่เจอ แต่มีทูตสวรค์ มาบอกว่า ท่านฟื้นแล้ว ตอนนี้เดินทางไป กาลิลี่ ศานุศิษย์ ไปรอเจอที่นั่นได้ เรื่องนี้ คนพอรู้กัน แต่เรื่องที่ไม่เข้าใจคือ กระต่ายมาเกี่ยวอะไรด้วย ทั้งๆที่วันนั้น วันที่พระเยซู ฟื้นขึ้นมา กระต่ายก็ไม่อยู่ในที่เกิดเหตุ  ก็เลยถามมา

 WIFE STRIFE  
             A man and his ever-nagging wife went on vacation to
Jerusalem. While they were there, the wife passed away. The undertaker told the husband, “You can have her shipped home for $5000, or you can bury her here for $150.”

             The man thought about it and told him he would just have her shipped home.
                 The undertaker asked, “Why would you spend $5000 to ship your wife home, when it would be wonderful to be buried here and you would spend only $150?”
                          The man replied, “Long time ago a man died here, was buried here, and three days later he rose from the dead.

 I just can’t take that chance.”

WIFE STRIFE  เกาเหลากับเมีย (STRIFE แปลว่าไม่ลงรอยกันหรือไม่กินเส้นกัน)
             A man กระทาชายนายหนึ่ง

 and his ever-nagging wife พร้อมกับศรีภรรยาที่สุดยอดงี่เง่า (ever-nagging แปลว่าสุดยอดงี่เง่า)

 went on vacation ไปพักร้อน

 to Jerusalem. ที่เยรูซาเร็ม

 

While they were there, ตอนที่อยู่กันที่นั่น

 the wife passed away. เมียก็ตาย ( passed away แปลว่าไปแล้วไปลับ เหมือนกับที่สัปเหร่อเขียนกันตามป่าช้าในเมืองไทย )

The undertaker สัปเหร่อ

 told the husband, บอกกับสามีว่า

“You can have her คุณสามารถที่จะเอาเธอ

shipped home ส่งกลับบ้านได้ (น่าจะเป็น ใส่ตู้คอนเทนเน่อร์ลงเรือ)

for $5000, ในราคา ห้าพันเหรียญ

or you can หรือว่าคุณสามารถที่จะ

 bury her here ฝังเธอที่นี่

for $150.” แค่ร้อยห้าสิบเหรียญ

             The man thought about it  กระทาชายนายคนนี้ ก็ใช้สมองครุ่นคิด

and told him และแล้วก็บอกสัปเหร่อว่า

he would just have her เขาต้องการส่งเธอ

shipped home. ลงเรือกลับบ้าน
                 The undertaker asked, สัปเหร่อถามว่า

 “Why would you ทำใมคุณต้อง

spend $5000  ใช้เงินห้าพันบาท

to ship your wife home, ส่งเมียคุณกลับบ้าน

when it would be ในเมื่อมัน

wonderful  แจ๋วกว่า

to be buried here ที่จะฝังที่นี่

and you would spend แล้วก็ใช้เงิน

only $150?” แค่ร้อยห้าสิบเหรียญ
                          The man replied, ชายคนนั้นตอบว่า

“Long time ago เรื่องมันนานมาแล้ว

 a man died here, มีชายคนหนึ่งตายที่นี่

was buried here, แล้วก็ฝังที่นี่

and three days later แล้วก็สามวันต่อมา

 he rose เขาก็ฟื้น

from the dead. จากความตาย

 I just can’t take that chance.” ผมเพียงแค่ไม่อยากเสี่ยงเท่านั้น
