เรื่องที่ 585

 เรื่องนี้คือ ข่าวดีสําหรับผู้ที่เรียนภาษาอังกฤษไม่รู้เรื่อง เพราะโดนพาเข้ารกเข้าพง หนามเกี่ยวเละไปทั้งตัว วันๆก็มีด๊อกเตอร์กับฝรั่ง มาพาไปเรียนสนทนากูๆกาๆ กับไวยากรณ์ และศัพท์ที่จําไม่เคยได้เลย..เรื่องนี้ จะทําให้คุณมีกําลังใจ มาอ่านกันดูว่าอะไร..

      An advanced society has worked out how to package a knowledge in pill form.

       A student, needing some help, goes to the pharmacy and asks what knowledge pills are available.
“Here’s a pill for English literature,” says the pharmacist.

     The student takes the pill and swallows it and has new knowledge about English literature.
“What else do you have?” asks the student.
‘Well, I have pills for art, history, biology, and world history.’ The student swallows these pills and has new knowledge about the subjects. “Do you have a pill for maths?”
‘Wait just a moment’, says the pharmacist. He goes into the storeroom and brings back a huge pill and drops it on the Counter.
‘I have to take that huge pill for maths?’ asks the student.
“Well, maths always was a little hard to swallow.”

goes to ก็ไปที่

the pharmacy ร้านขายยา

and asks และถามหา

what knowledge pills ยาความรู้อะไรก็ตาม

are available. ว่ามีขายมั๊ย
“Here’s เอ๊านี่

a pill ยาเม็ดนึง

for สำหรับ

English literature,” วิชาวรรณคดีภาษาอังกฤษ

 says the pharmacist. คนขายยาบอก

     The student นักเรียนคนนั้น

takes the pill ก็รับยาไป

and แล้วก็

swallows it กลืนมันลงไป

and has แล้วก็จะมี

new knowledge ความรู้ใหม่ๆ

about ที่เกี่ยวกับ

English literature. วรรณคดีภาษาอังกฤษ
“What else มีอะไรอีกมั๊ย

do you have?” ที่คุณมี ( ที่คุณขาย)

asks the student.นักเรียนถาม
“Well, อ้า...

I have pills  ผมมียาเม็ด

 for สำหรับ

art,  วิชาศิลปศาสตร์

history, ประวัติศาสตร์

biology, ชีววิทยา

and และก็

world history.” ประวัติศาสตร์โลก

The student เด็กนักเรียน

swallows กลืน

these pills ยาเม็ดเหล่านี้เข้าไป

and แล้วก็

has จะมี

new knowledge ความรู้ใหม่

about ที่เกี่ยวกับ

the subjects. วิชานั้นๆ

“Do you have คุณมี

a pill ยาเม็ด

for maths?” สำหรับวิชาคำนวนมั๊ย
“Wait just a moment,” รอเดี๋ยวนะ

says the pharmacist. คนขายยาบอก

He goes into เขาเข้าไปใน

the storeroom ห้องเก็บของ

and brings back a huge pill และก็เอายาเม็ดเบ้อเริ่มเทิ่มออกมา.

( อย่าลืมว่า huge ฮิวแปลว่า เบ้อเริ่มเทิ่มนะ จำไว้ให้ดี)

 and drops it แล้วก็วางมันลง

on the counter. บนเค้าน์เต้อร์
“I have to take ผมจะต้องกิน

that huge pill ยาเม็ดที่ใหญ่เบ้อเริ่มเทิ้มขนาดนี้

for maths?” สำหรับวิชาคำนวนเชียวหรือ

 asks the student. เด็กนักเรียนถาม
“Well, ....คือว่า

maths วิชาคำนวน

always was  a little hard มักจะค่อนข้างยากเสมอ

to swallow.” ที่จะกลืน

( ถ้าเป็นสำนวนไทยก็ต้องบอกว่า กินยาก น่าจะคิดออกมาเป็นยาฉีดหรือยาทานะ ผมว่ามันจะสดวกกว่า แต่ต้องไม่ใช่มาในรูปยาเสียบทวารแก้ท้องผูกที่เรียกว่า suppository ซัฟพ้อสสิตตอรี่นะ มันหวาดเสียว)

.......เป็นไง พอจะมีความหวังขึ้นมั๊ย ถ้ายังไม่มี ก็อ่านของผมไปเรื่อยๆเดี๋ยวก็เก่งกว่าครูจนได้ เพราะมันย่นระยะทาง ไม่ต้องแวะไปหาดิ๊กชั่นนารี่ที่เปิดขึ้นมาก็ไม่ค่อยจะรู้เรื่อง เดาก็ยาก จำก็ไม่เคยได้เลย
