Confident and Confidential

เรื่องนี้ เคยแปลมาแล้วหรือยัง จําไม่ได้ ลองช่วยกันค้นหาใน ห้าร้อยกว่าเรื่องที่เคยแปลมาแล้ว..

A little boy approaches his father one day and asks,
“Dad, what’s the difference between confident and
confidential?”
His dad thinks for a
second and says, “You’re my son. I’m confident of that.” Then he lowered his voice to a whisper and said, “And your little mate Billy is also my son, but that’s confidential.”

A little boy ไอ้หนู เด็กน้อยคนหนึ่ง

 approaches เข้าไปหา

his father คุณพ่อของเขา

one day ในวันหนึ่ง

and asks, แล้วก็ถามว่า
“Dad, คุณพ่อกร๊าบบบบ

what’s the difference อะไรคือความแตกต่าง

 between ระหว่าง

confident and confidential?” คอนฟิเด๊นท์ กับ คอนฟิเด็นเชี๊ยล
His dad คุณพ่อของไอ้หนู

thinks for a second คิดอยู่ครู่หนึ่ง

and says, แล้วก็บอกว่า

“You’re my son. หนูเป็นลูกของพ่อ

I’m confident of that.” พ่อมั่นใจเรื่องนั้น

Then จากนั้น

he lowered เขาก็ลด

his voice เสียงของเขา( ให้ตํ่าลง)

to a whisper เพื่อที่จะกระซิบ

and said, แล้วก็บอกว่า

“And your little mate และไอ้เพื่อนตัวเล็กๆ

 Billy บิลลี่นั่น

is also my son, ก็คือลูกของพ่อด้วยเหมือนกัน

 but แต่

that’s confidential.” นั่นคือความลับสุดยอด

(  confident  คอนฟิเด๊น แปลว่า ความมั่นใจconfidential คอนฟิเดนเช๊ยล จะแปลว่า ความลับสุดยอด แบบที่มี ตราปั๊ม บนแฟ้ม ของ FBI หรือ CIA แบบหนังสือราชการ ทํานองนั้น...เรื่องนี้มีในยูทู๊ป ..เรียนศัพท์ภาษาอังกฤษจากโจ๊ก 4 )
