BAD NEIGHBOUR
              The judge says to a double-homicide
defendant, “You’re charged with beating your wife to death with  a hammer.”
              A voice at the back of the courtroom yells out, “You bastard!”
              The judge says, “You’re also
charged with beating your mother-in- law to death with a hammer.”
              The voice in the back of the
courtroom yells out, “You bastard!”
              The judge stops and says to the guy
in the back of the courtroom, “Sir, I can understand your anger and frustration at this crime, but no more outbursts
from you, or I’ll charge you with contempt. Is that understood?”
             The guy in the back of the court
stands up and says, “I’m sorry,

Your Honour, but I’ve lived next door to that bastard for 15 years, and every time
I asked to borrow a hammer, he said
he didn’t have one.”

              A voice at the back มีเสียง of the courtroomที่มาจากด้านหลังห้องพิจาณาคดี  yells out, ตะโกนออกมาว่า “You bastard!”  สาดดด..เอ๊ย
              The judge says, ผู้พิพากษาก็พูดต่อ

“You’re also charged with  นอกจากนี้ จำเลยยังโดนฟ้องข้อหา

beating your mother-in- law to death ตีแม่ยายตาย

 with a hammer.” ด้วยฆ๊อนอีกด้วย
              The voice in the back of the courtroom เสียงจากด้านหลังห้องพิจาณณาคดี

yells out, ตะโกนออกมาอีกว่า

“You bastard!”  ไอ้ระยำเอ๊ย
              The judge stops ผู้พิพากษาหยุดกึ๊ก

and says to the guy แล้วก็พูดกับชาย                                                      

in the back of the courtroom, คนที่อยู่ด้านหลังในห้องพิจารณาคดี

 “Sir, I can understand คู๊ณ... ศาลเข้าใจ

your anger and frustration ในความรู้สึกโกรธและก็หงุดหงิดของคุณ

at this crime, ในเรื่องอาชญากรรมแบบนี้

but no more outbursts from you, แต่ว่าพอกันทีกับคำผรุสวาทที่มาจากคุณ

or I’ll charge you with contempt. ไม่งั้น ศาลจะเอาเรื่องว่าคุณหมิ่นศาล

 Is that understood?” หวังว่าคงเข้าใจนะ
             The guy in the back of the court ชายคนที่อยู่หลังห้อง
stands up and says, ลุกขึ้นยืน แล้วก็พูดว่า

“I’m sorry, ผมขอโทษครับ

Your Honour, ท่านผู้พิพากษา

but   แต่ว่า

 I’ve lived next door ผมอยู่บ้าน

to that bastard ติดกันกับไอ้เวรนี่

for 15 years, มาสิบห้าปี

and every time  และทุกครั้ง
I asked to borrow a hammer, ผมขอยืมฆ้อนมัน

 he said มันบอกว่า
he didn’t have one.” มันไม่เคยมีฆ้อนเลย
